As in previous editions, our goal is to raise funds to build drinking water wells. Our aim is that each of the 40 villages that depend on the Mishikishi Mission should have at least one drinking water well, thus sparing the women and children the long, daily travel for water which, in many cases, prevents their schooling.

Barefoot, having had nothing to eat, the kids need to cover distances – more than once a day – that sometimes amount to 10 km a day in order to go and collect water, a necessary, vital asset that is so scarce in Africa.

Our Zambian flea market includes basically African handicrafts, such as kitenges (very bright, multicoloured fabrics), wooden carvings, Nativity scenes, copper, malachite, postcards, and pictures painted and embroidered manually by native people, among many other things.
